Growing Florida Virtual School Beyond Florida

At Florida Virtual School (FLVS), we believe today’s most powerful educational tools are flexibility, empowerment, and inspiration. It’s a formula that has allowed us to transform online education and help thousands of students—in Florida and beyond—find success for more than 20 years.

Since 1997, FLVS students have completed more than 5.1 million semester enrollments. A number we have been proud to watch grow over the years. That’s why we’re excited to introduce FlexPoint Education Cloud, formerly known as FLVS Global. FlexPoint gives school districts across the country the tools, resources, and online courses they need to implement online learning programs for Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Last year, as families and educators everywhere were figuring out online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were inspired to lend a helping hand, doing what we do best: putting students first.

We partnered with more than 160 new schools and districts outside of Florida to help them quickly bring effective and engaging digital learning to their students. This included the Alaska Department of Education & Early Development and Michigan’s Grand Ledge Public Schools.

More than anything, this challenging school year emphasized that every student learns differently. As each students’ educational journey becomes more individualized, access to online learning options is vital for the success of future generations. And FlexPoint will do just that for schools across the country. Providing exceptional online education options and resources to even more learners, teachers, schools, and districts—when they need it most.

FlexPoint will offer many of the same proven courses that FLVS students have benefited from for more than 20 years. Our digital curriculum can be customized to various state standards and seamlessly implemented across various online platforms. In addition, FlexPoint partners with schools and districts across the nation to provide training and professional development for teachers and administrators, and unparalleled customer and technical support.

Funds generated from FlexPoint are reinvested in the development of new courses and educational technologies to benefit every student. We’re proud to partner with schools and districts in Florida, and beyond through FlexPoint.

And we will continue to offer full-time and part-time online learning options for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade, all tuition-free for Florida residents. For more information about FlexPoint, please visit FlexPointEducation.com.

Hi Precious, FLVS students must be a legal resident in the state of Florida. Military families who live outside the state of Florida may enroll their students but they must maintain their Florida residency.

If I’m Canadian (Saskatchewan) and can afford tuition, would I be able to enrol? And would I be considered an international student if I were to apply to a Canadian University with an American education despite having Canadian citizenship? Thank you 🙂
