Vote for FLVS to Present at SXSW 2018

As you know, our main focus here at FLVS is our students. It’s important for us to share the best practices we have learned with others in education, so more students can benefit!

With that said, Dr. Polly Haldeman, FLVS Chief Customer Officer; Brandi Gurley, Principal of Orange Country Virtual School; and I have an exciting opportunity to present at the 2018 SXSWedu Conference on March 5-8 in Austin, Texas.

Brandi and I will be presenting on a program that some of us are already familiar with: Health Opportunities through Physical Education (HOPE). We hope to educate participants on how co-teaching really benefits the students, and how students really thrive in a blended learning environment.

Polly’s presentation will discuss creating a virtual student-led conference. This will showcase multiple Kindergarten-12 district virtual leaders who have collaborated to provide a state-wide student-led virtual conference opportunity for their students.

With your help, Polly, Brandi, and I can be given the opportunity to speak out on this important learning style, and help students thrive along the way. Public voting is what determines which presentations will be featured at the SXSWedu event, so we would greatly appreciate your vote!

The steps to vote are as follows:

Step 1: Create a Panel Picker Account. It’s very quick and easy to do. Sign up here.

Step 4: Vote “Up” for Dr. Polly Haldeman, FLVS – Creating a Virtual Student-led Conference

Voting is open to the general public, so feel free to share this information with your social media family and friends so they can cast their votes as well!

Being able to represent FLVS at such a prevalent event is a great opportunity for us to show everything we have accomplished in the past 20 years, as well as what we can do to change the future!

Thank you!
