1. Elementary Computer Science

Grade Levels: Kindergarten–5th

What Your Child Will Learn: The basics of coding, the ABCs of computer science (from algorithms to block-based code), and how the technology in the world around them works through a series of interactive lessons and real-world activities. Plus, with Elementary Computer Science courses available for every grade level, they’ll be able to grow their knowledge as they progress through elementary school. 

2. M/J Career Research and Decision Making

Grade Levels: 6th–8th

What Your Child Will Learn: Consider this course your child’s how-to guide for discovering their future career path. They’ll learn how they can apply their interests and skills to a career, interview techniques, networking tips, and how to write a resume. Basically, everything they need to prepare and rock it at college and the workplace. 

3. M/J Business Keyboarding

Grade Levels: 6th–8th

What Your Child Will Learn: Your child will gain typing speed while learning the proper technique to become a keyboard master. They’ll learn introductory word processing and electronic presentation skills as well as computer hardware, the internet, and business skills to prepare them for their future career.  

4. M/J Coding Fundamentals

Grade Levels: 6th–8th

What Your Child Will Learn: Exactly how their favorite apps, websites, and video games are made! Your child can take a deep dive into the “how” of the tech they use every day, with an introduction to the basics of computer science. Then they can build their very own website using HTML, and learn the programming language, Python, to create and problem solve actual computer programs. 

5. Accounting Applications 1

Grade Levels: 9th–12th 

What Your Child Will Learn: They will learn how to create a budget that’ll get them that new PS5, as well as the dollars and cents behind starting a business. Cash in on this course for your child to learn the basics of accounting, how to digitally record business transactions in Excel and QuickBooks, and how to prepare financial statements. 

What Your Child Could Earn: At the end of the course, they can take the QuickBooks industry certification exam to become a QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU), an industry certification in QuickBooks. 

6. Computer and Network Security Fundamentals

Grade Levels: 9th–12th

What Your Child Will Learn: How to save the world. From cyberattacks, at least. This inspiring course covers the fundamentals of computer safety, network security, and the prevention of digital attacks. They’ll experience a hands-on approach to security strategies, expand their computer and networking security techniques, and improve their problem-solving skills. Plus, they’ll explore career opportunities in one of the world’s fastest-growing industries: Cybersecurity. 
 
What Your Child Could Earn:
This course provides honors-level elective credit. And through the Applied Cybersecurity Program of Study they could earn a CompTIA Security+ certification. 

7. Introduction to the Teaching Profession

Grade Levels: 9th–12th

What Your Child Will Learn: What it takes to be a teacher. Including the history, purposes, issues, ethics, laws, regulations, roles, and qualifications of teaching. And throughout the course, they’ll take part in a minimum of 20 hours of guided observations and field experience in different settings so they can discover what teaching career path interests them most.  
 
What Your Child Could Earn: A Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
