Spring Break marks the last few months of the school year—and, dare we say, the most exciting! From the Virtual 5K to graduation, spring is jam-packed with activities for Florida Virtual School (FLVS) students and parents alike.

Annual Virtual 5K | April 1-7, 2024

Lace up your running shoes—FLVS Fit Club’s Annual Virtual 5K is back! All FLVS students are invited to complete a 5K between Monday, April 1st and Sunday, April 7th. Be sure to share your Virtual 5K time and photos.

School My Way Photo Contest | April 8-26, 2024

All FLVS students are invited to participate in the School My Way Photo Contest. Students can simply submit a photo or video showing what “School My Way” means to them on the Share Your Story page. More information coming soon.

Peer Tutoring

Tutoring offered by the Peer Tutoring Club and the National Science Honor Society. Open to Kindergarten-12 grade students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-7 p.m. EST. Tutoring ends May 1, 2024. 

Book Battle | April 22 & 24, 2024

All FLVS students are invited to cheer on the FLVS Flex and Full Time teams as they put their 2023-24 Sunshine State Book knowledge to the test April 22 and 24! Tune in to watch Book Battle:

  • Kindergarten-2nd grade on April 22 at 2 p.m. EST
  • 3rd-5th grade on April 22 at 3:30 p.m. EST
  • 6th-12th grade on April 24 at 4 p.m. EST

FLVS Flex Middle School Transition | May 1, 2024

We’re hosting an information session for rising 6th grade FLVS Flex families on May 1. Join us to learn more about FLVS Flex Middle School from our course options and extracurricular activities to tips for a smooth transition. More information is coming soon. 

National College Decision Day

Traditionally, National College Decision Day falls on or around May 1, when seniors announce their commitment to a college. We’re extending the celebration, sharing FLVS senior commitments on social media through the end of the school year. To participate, FLVS Flex seniors can complete the Senior Decision Day form and Florida Virtual High School seniors can complete the College Acceptance and Scholarships form.

2023-24 Yearbooks

Time is running out to participate in the FLVS Flex and FLVS Full Time yearbooks for the 2023-24 school year! Submit your child’s photos by March 30, 2024 and order a yearbook by May 1, 2024.

Teacher Appreciation Week | May 6-10, 2024

Teacher Appreciation Week is nearly here, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our teachers and all they do to support and inspire students! Want to join the celebration? FVHS Class of 2024 Graduation | May 22, 2024

The Florida Virtual High School (FVHS) Graduation Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Students and families can watch the live feed and read a special message from FLVS President and CEO Dr. Louis Algaze at flvs.net/classof2024.

Memorial Day | May 27, 2024

Students, teachers, and staff will be out of office on Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. Students are welcome to continue their studies, but there will be a delay in teacher responses and grading. 

Last Day of School | May 28, 2024

The last day of school for FLVS Full Time Public Schools is Tuesday, May 28, 2024. We hope you have a safe and fun summer break!

2024-25 Full Time Enrollment | June 3, 2024

Enrollment in FLVS Full Time Public Schools opens June 3, 2024, for the 2024-25 school year. Sign up to be notified when enrollment opens.

Juneteenth | June 19, 2024

Teachers and staff will be out of office June 19, 2024, in observance of Juneteenth. Students may continue their studies, but there will be a delay in teacher responses and grading.
