Meet #Classof2022 Senior Class President, Gianna Suarez
There’s nothing like that moment. When you finally hear your name, walk across the stage to accept your high school diploma, and realize—you made it. All the hours studying, completing assessments, and taking exams. YOU did it!
And Florida Virtual School (FLVS) Senior Class President, Gianna Suarez, is proud to say she made it—and achieved so much more along the way!
Virtually Unmatched
Four years ago, Gianna knew the traditional brick-and-mortar school setting wasn’t an option for her. She needed flexibility to do all the extracurricular activities she was interested in such as volunteering, working as a nanny, and joining clubs like student government. After already having experience with FLVS Flex in middle school, transitioning to FLVS Full Time high school just made sense. And, since enrolling, her experience has been unmatched, praising the support and encouragement from her teachers, like Ms. Bell, who was always there to help when she needed it.
Now, she’s completed her entire high school career with FLVS Full Time. She’s thrived academically, met some of her best friends, supported the #Classof2022 as Senior Class President, and earned an FLVS Club Award and an FLVS Exemplary Student Award for her hard work and leadership! With four jampacked years in the books, she says her most fond FLVS memories are the times spent with the senior sponsors planning EVERYTHING—including virtual senior socials, grad bash, graduation, virtual prom, and more!
When in Doubt, Skate it Out
As a busy high schooler, Gianna still needed a creative outlet. So, after some friendly advice to find a hobby that interested her, she turned to the ice and tried figure skating. Now, three years later, she’s still sticking with it! And on the days that she’s feeling down or unmotivated, pushing herself to go skate has made all the difference.
Hey Look Ma, I Made It
Although she’s saying farewell to high school, Gianna’s not planning to hang up her skates just yet. She plans to continue skating near Mercer University, where she’s earned a full scholarship to double major in Spanish and Biology with the goal of becoming a Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeon!
Gianna, you’ve officially delivered your FLVS Full Time Class of 2022 Senior Class Presidential Speech [Link to Speech], accepted your diploma, and turned the tassel. We can’t wait to see all you do next. Congratulations!
Congratulations, FLVS Class of 2022!
