Exciting Changes at FLVS
FLVS is a Florida public school district of choice.
We are not guaranteed students and our students change from year to year. We are legislatively mandated to help spread the word to students and parents that FLVS is an option available to students in Florida and around the country.
Traditionally, marketing has been primarily known for the creative process, including captivating visuals and clever messaging to communicate to a specific target audience. Today, marketing is much more science-oriented in its approaches. More decisions are made based on customer feedback and trends using real-time analytics and data. With this in mind, earlier this month we shared some exciting new FLVS marketing initiatives based on customer feedback.
New Logo
As you may have noticed with our new logo, we have moved under one FLVS brand. Our students and families often tell us they don’t know what online learning is or how it works. One of the goals of the new logo is to appear more friendly and approachable to our target audience. Students really seem to like our new logo, as it feels more relevant to them.
New Website
Our new, mobile-friendly website reflects simplified navigation and revised content that outlines everything FLVS has to offer. Personalization is a defining feature of FLVS, and we have built that into the web experience. The new site is designed to help visitors find what they need quickly and easily on all types of devices.
New Name for our Flexible Course Offerings
In the past, we referred to our option for students to take one or more FLVS courses on a flexible basis as “FLVS Part Time.” This caused confusion for schools, students, and families, particularly when each follows their own unique schedule and path to personalized learning.
After extensive research and customer listening, we decided to rename our flexible option allowing students to choose from flexible elementary subjects and more than 150 middle and high school courses to FLVS Flex. FLVS Flex refers to our most common classic option that allows public, private, and homeschool students in the state of Florida to take one or more online courses through FLVS.
New Campaign
In the coming weeks, you may see us on TV or on a billboard or you might hear us on the radio. You will also be able to see our ads online in various digital channels.
It is important to note that we remain focused on our mission to deliver a high quality, technology-based education that provides the skills and knowledge students need for success; and on our commitment that the student is at the center of every decision we make – as illustrated in our 30-second spot below.
We hope you are as excited about all of our news and updates as we are. We would love to hear your feedback. Share your thoughts with us in the comments below.
