Students are encouraged to continue their studies as courses always remain open, but please be mindful that there will be a brief delay in teacher response.

FLVS, please help!! I have a GoFundMe page up because my computer is broken and so is my sister’s. We have been with you for 3-4 years now and we’ve been faithful to the ones we have. But now, our computers are on the verge of completely breaking down. Both of our computers have lost multiple assignments because they shut down unexpectedly. Please, anyone who sees this, share it with others. I don’t have social media and I would never ask my close friends (it would be pretty awkward). Here’s the link to my GoFundMe page:

Good morning, my question, I was planning on switching my 12th grade daughter from FLVS FLEX homeschool to FLVS full time and have completed all of the paperwork, but she is still dual enrolled pending her acceptance and schedule. She was also just awarded the Gardiner scholarship and will be required to pay for the FLVS full time courses using those funds. would it be best to stay active in Flex and switch back to homeschool status so she can begin those classes sooner rather than wait to begin FLVS full time? Will she be required to pay for the flex classes also or would the funding remain in her account to help her through college enrollment upon completion of her senior year?
Hi Donna. We recommend reaching out to one of our FLVS Counselors to review your daughter’s unique situation at https://www.flvs.net/student-resources.
Is it still possible to join a club if we missed the Thursday 8/10 rush?
Thank you
Yes! Keep an eye out for club applications after Club Rush. You can find more information at flvs.net/clubs. 🙂

Hello, I enrolled my son months ago and had heard that the start date was the 19th and we have had no communication on where to access the course or his teachers?
Hi Shannon. Thanks for your patience! We’re experiencing higher than usual enrollments of new students this year. You should hear from your teacher soon after your student is placed in courses for a welcome call. Please keep checking your email for course updates!
It is a little confusing that we are assigned to log in with FLVS, yet we are enrolled in SJVS. For example, you state the start date is Aug 19th, however for us it is actually the 31st. The date coincides with our county district. The log in for courses we received has us linked to everything about FLVS, and nothing about SJVS. We are getting it, but it is something that could be worked out a little better.
Hi Angela. We apologize for the confusion. We strive to provide the best online learning experience for our students. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback.
Your canned 14 day response is not helpful. It’s been well over 14 days and my granddaughter has not been assigned a teacher. What is the REAL timeframe?
Hi Peggy. We truly apologize for the inconvenience and understand your frustration. Our admissions team is currently processing applications within a 3-week time frame. You will receive notifications on the status of your application via email. Thank you for your patience.
Hi, My scheduled start date is Monday Aug24th for 5th Grade Flex program – but I haven’t received a welcome call or email from our teachers…Does this mean that his start date has been pushed back a week? Can someone confirm when his start date will be?
Thank you!
Hi Elaine. Thanks for your patience! It may take up to 14 days to place new students in courses after the requested start date due to higher than usual enrollments this year, but you should hear from your teacher soon after for a welcome call. Please keep checking your email for course updates!
Hi, my granddaughter is scheduled to start Pasco Virtual School Full Time on AUGUST 24TH. Her classes are listed and I am able to see them but I have not receive any usernames or passwords for this Classlink launchpad thing. I am only familiar with Canvas. Her mother received the email for meet the teacher via Zoom late and we missed the meeting. We live in the same home. I will be the one mostly in charge of her homeschooling while mom is at work. Need help on talking to an actual tech person about passwords and not a recording that will call me back in 7 days! I have reached out to Homeroom teacher via email and no response!
Hi Emma! Please reach out to your county virtual school for more assistance with Classlink.
Good afternoon,
My child has not been assigned to a “classroom” yet for his homeschooling. Any idea when we will get contacted?
Thank you!
Hi Marsha. It may take up to 14 days to place new students in courses after the requested start date due to higher than usual enrollments this year, but you should hear from your teacher soon after for a welcome call. Please keep checking your email for course updates!
This answer, which is a rehearsed one, does not suffice. I started the process over a month ago and I haven’t head anything yet.
Hi Marsha. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Our team is working diligently to assign new students to courses. All updates and notifications will be sent via email. Thank you for your patience.
Good Morning
I just had a question about clubs. If my students are still in the 14 day waiting period and haven’t been placed in their classes in flex yet are they still able to join clubs before that processes is complete? Will we receive the zoom call info anyway?
Hi Amy! Unfortunately you will not have access to our Club Rush event on Zoom until your application has been accepted and your student is in our system, but you will still be able to complete club applications after you are enrolled at flvs.net/clubs.
I am enrolled with my county’s virtual school using FLVS’s curriculum, and I was wondering if there is a way to go at an accelerated pace. I haven’t began my coursework yet because i have not yet been assigned a classroom. I am aware of the 14 day time frame, and I am still waiting after about a week, but am in no rush. I simply just wanted to know if every pace chart goes by the same dates,or if there is a way to do more work and finish faster.
psa, I feel as if though the replies sounded a bit more personal and less automated, the responses FLVS gets could be better.
Hi Gracie. You can speak with your County Virtual School teacher about this! Each district is different in how they handle student schedules when it comes to pace charts.
Have been waiting a week .i went the district fill out the paper work . Email the School trying to get class approve for online. Then check online and class drop. Iam very upset.
I am a second year flvs flex student going into 7th grade. I requested a start date of tomorrow and have not been assigned to a teacher. On my dashboard it tells me that I am still awaiting classroom availability. When should I expect availability and assignment to a teacher?
Hi Shayna. We appreciate your patience as our team works quickly to process student enrollments! Returning students will be placed as soon as possible so be sure to check your email for updates.
My children are hybrid, so they take 1-2 classes in face to face public school and the rest of their classes with you. Can they sign up for clubs with you guys? Also, can they sign up for an additional course like computer science with you?
Hi Stephanie. Yes, students who are taking at least one course with us can join FLVS clubs! Students are welcome to take courses with us on FLVS Flex anytime through the year if they are academically appropriate!
I was supposed to start September 1st in 7th grade. It’s been saying for some time on my flvs portal home screen “awaiting availability”. I just wanted to find out if I’ll be accepted this year or if there aren’t any spots? Also if there are spots left, how long will I be waiting for a spot? Thank you!
Hi Shayna. Some courses are currently at capacity but you will be placed this year. Keep an eye on your FLVS account for course updates!
Hi i still waiting for my daughter classes she have only one right now .How long we need to wait?. She is in flex 8th.Thanks
Hi Diana. With the high volume of new students enrollments, it may take up to 3-weeks to process a student’s application. All updates and notifications will be sent through email. Thanks for your patience and understanding as our team works quickly to process applications and place students in their desired courses!
9/8/20
I signed my 6th grader up for FLEX classes and they dropped the classes , don’t know why?
Hi Cindy. You can reach out to us at 800-374-1430 or https://www.flvs.net/contact-us/send-us-a-message and we can look over your child’s account.
My friend who has a Geometry course in FLVS Flex could not remember her password and was locked out of her account. It said that her teacher will get an email to reset it. Is that the FLVS instructor or her teacher at her normal school?
Hi K. She can reach out to her FLVS instructor for assistance or visit https://help.flvs.net/help/username-password – Hope this helps!
Yeah, sorry, but I needed this information months ago, she has it figured out now.
Just wondering if the wait for class assignments have been extended again. We were originally told 14 days and then due to high enrollment, three weeks. It has now been four weeks, to the day, and my elementary students still haven’t received classes. My middle schooler has four of the six approved classes.
Hi Donja. We sincerely apologize for the delay. Our team is working quickly to place elementary students in their desired courses. Once your student is placed, our teachers will work closely with your students to help them meet their goals.
how do i get to the Spanish club
Hi Andrew, You can find FLVS Clubs and information at flvs.net/clubs
