FLVS Corkboard: Back to School Newsletter
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! It’s been said that August is like the Sunday of Summer—yet this year you may be thinking, “Wait, did summer happen?” Whether you are returning to Florida Virtual School, new to online education, or still determining whether FLVS fits your needs, we’re glad you’re with us!
This has been a crazy year and going back to school looks very different with varying start dates and guidelines depending on where you live. But rest assured, FLVS has been supporting school districts across the country for more than 20 years, and this year is no exception.
Before jumping in to share what else is new, we want to let you know that in observance of Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, has been designated a holiday break for all FLVS instructors and support staff. Students are encouraged to continue their studies as courses always remain open, but please be mindful that there will be a brief delay in teacher response.
FLVS Supports Students & Schools Nationwide
This year, we are excited to announce that FLVS Global is now offering our elementary courses for grades Kindergarten-5 to students across the country and around the world to help further support families and school districts. In addition to supporting school districts seeking flexible online curriculum options for their students, FLVS Global School provides supportive online learning for students and families in all 50 states.
Get Connected by Joining a Club
Want to know how to get involved in one or more of the many student activities offered at FLVS? While this year may look different than what you’re used to, it doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your hobbies and interests. Studies show that joining a student club is beneficial both personally and professionally.
Mark your calendars for these FLVS Virtual Club Rush events:
Middle School & High School Club Rush
Thursday, Sept. 10 @ 4:30 p.m.
