Announcing the Florida Virtual School #MyVirtualSchoolSquad Contest Winners
When it comes to online learning, there’s a lot to consider. From the school option you choose to the courses your child takes. You may also be considering, “Will my child still have the opportunity to socialize and build relationships with peers?”
The short answer is yes. With Florida Virtual School (FLVS) students have the opportunity to interact with fellow classmates in live lessons, join 60+ student clubs, or attend regional meet ups and field trips throughout the year, allowing them to make friends with similar interests.
To celebrate how online learning brings us together, we asked you to show us how your kid(s) learn with others during the #MyVirtualSchoolSquad Contest. And today we’re excited to announce the contest winners and honorable mentions. Enjoy!
#MyVirtualSchoolSquad Contest Winners
Congratulations to the following winners of the #MyVirtualSchoolSquad Contest. Whether at home or on-the-go, your photos and videos showcase what it means to learn together.
First Place: Brianna & Aubrey
“Here is The Space Yachties Virtual School Squad! We are so thankful for FLVS so the girls can continue their education while we travel the country together! We love FLVS!! 🗺️🚐✏️💻📚🥾🏔️🚲🌲💙” – Kim, FLVS Parent
Second Place: Jayden
“Learning in the comfort of his own home with FLVS means: 1) Learning at his own pace 2) Great support team of teachers who are easily accessible 3) School work completed early 4) Still learning while he travels 5) College credits being earned through the dual enrollment program 6) Spare time to work on his 2nd self-published book, do a magazine interview, and extra time to build his business. As a former high school teacher who has taught at brick & mortar schools in 2 different states, [virtual school] offers so many benefits that students simply can’t get in person. This is how 15 year-old entrepreneur & self-published author Jayden Cochran does FLVS. We love to see it. Setting him up for limitless success!” – Candice, FLVS Parent
Third Place: Madelyn, Julian, Roman, and Madison
