This Year’s Biggest Surprises
The 2015-16 year for FLVS Flex Elementary students is coming to an end…
And what a GREAT year!
Our amazing Kindergarten – 5th grade students experience flexible and fun learning in a way that suits them. As a teacher, being a part of this amazing program has offered all kinds of opportunities to grow and connect.
So what were some of my biggest surprises this year?
In no certain order, I’ve learned you can…
Go from bring the one who needed technology help to being the one who gave it.
Become very close to virtual students and their families.
Take your virtual students on a real field trip.
Learn how to grade upside down.
Always learn more in PowerPoint.
At our first annual end-of-the-year field trip to Legoland earlier this spring, many of our students and their families got to meet their teachers for the first time. More than 600 students and 600 parents were in attendance.
What a fantastic experience!
So, as we wrap up this phenomenal school year, a favorite Henry Ford quote comes to mind:
“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
