FLVS Grad Plans to Pursue Biomedical Engineering

Florida Virtual School is proud to recognize Palm Coast resident, Brianna Denson, for finishing in the top five of the FLVS Full Time Class of 2019! There were a projected 715 students in this year’s FLVS Full Time graduating class.

“Being a part of FLVS has permitted me to academically challenge myself in ways I never thought possible,” said Brianna. “It has provided me with the essential skills needed to trek into the future, and it has nourished my growth as a student by encouraging me to view life through a different lens.”

Brianna, who was enrolled with FLVS Full Time for her four high school years, will continue her education by attending the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. She plans to major in Biomedical Engineering. Brianna added, “I hope to study abroad and travel the world in pursuit of the unknown. Ultimately, I aspire to serve as a voice for the unheard and the unseen.”

“We are so proud of the FLVS Full Time Class of 2019 and our top five GPA students. It is an amazing accomplishment to be in the top 5 out of class of more than 700 graduates,” said Ken Henson, principal for FLVS Full Time High School. “We hope the foundation our graduates have created at FLVS will lead them to grow and design their own path, whether it be in academics, the workforce, the arts, athletics, or in whatever other endeavors our graduates are passionate about.”

This year’s graduation ceremony took place at the University of Central Florida’s Addition Financial Arena on Friday, May 24 at 12 p.m. with more than 400 students in attendance.

Brianna chose FLVS Full Time for her education, “as it allows students to reach their academic potential through the support of their teachers, counselors, and peers. Furthermore, it promotes an environment of involvement in which students have the ability to strengthen their current abilities and develop new ones.”
