Purple Up Day: April 15, 2023

Purple Up Day for military children is April 15th! Purple Up was established by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension Military Youth and Family Program as a day to recognize and honor military children and families. Military families make many sacrifices and overcome a variety of challenges, and this is a day for communities to come together and let military children know that they are supported and appreciated. Below are some ways you can support:

  1. Recognize military children
Take the time to appreciate any military children you know. Your support can make a huge difference.
  2. Wear purple
You can wear purple as a way to show support for military kids. It’s an easy way to participate in the holiday. Share photos of your purple attire here
  3. Listen to military personnel
You can listen to a speech or have a one-on-one conversation with a military member. They have many inspiring stories to tell.
