A New Generation of Megabytes

At FLVS Full Time Elementary, we are thrilled to welcome new students in Kindergarten through 5th grade to the Megabyte family for the 2018-19 school year. We hope all of our children have a smooth and happy start to the school year. We have a wonderful staff in place to ensure we provide the best education possible. If you encounter any difficulties as a new elementary family, please make your child’s teacher aware of your needs. If the teacher cannot assist you, he/she will absolutely find the right person.

Now, it’s time for some back-to-school reminders! To help your child start the year off with success, here are a few tips for our elementary students:

Plan with the end in mind
Week 1, review and print each course pace chart and create a set schedule of work to be submitted for the entire semester.

Create a “Checkpoint Friday”
To help your child maintain his/her pace, create a “Checkpoint Friday” where together you review the assignments due, current grades, and pace.

Ask for help
Remind your child to ask for help when needed. Teachers are happy to help! Teachers are available by phone, text, and email.

Utilize our FLVS Full Time Family Resource Center (FRC) for elementary families
If your child is struggling and you feel he/she could benefit from additional support or supplemental resources, please visit the FRC website. If you have an immediate concern or are in need of support services, please reach out directly to your child’s teacher(s). To learn more about our support services please join us for our first coffee chat of the year on Sept. 16, 2018.

Thank you for your support and engagement in our school community!
