With the Flexibility to Dream Big, FLVS Graduate Aims for Harvard Law

By on May 13th, 2021

In an early May afternoon in Cambridge, Massachusetts, you can feel the cool, spring breeze and an electric buzz in the air as Harvard students prepare for graduation. And on the weathered stone steps of Harvard Law School, you can trace the invisible footsteps of some of the country’s most prominent figures—including past and present senators, business leaders, and even Presidents. It’s a place that might feel heavy with expectation. By on May 3rd, 2021

Last year, we saw one of society’s most significant cultural shifts as people transitioned from in-person birthday parties to Zoom parties, everyday outings to at-home alternatives, and traditional classrooms to online learning. The COVID-19 pandemic changed everything about how people worked, lived, and learned.

While the transition to a stay-at-home lifestyle and online learning presented challenges, it also provided many families with a new sense of safety and flexibility. And it’s not surprising that with the end of the 2020-21 school year approaching (the first full year of virtual learning for many), parents have a new take on online learning and how it fits into their families’ post-pandemic lives.

By on April 14th, 2021

At one time or another, most people have probably worked for an organization that talked a big game about company culture, but the actions and attitudes never lived up to the words. Unlike those purveyors of empty promises, Florida Virtual School (FLVS) does more than just talk about our values; we live them and rely on them to be the foundation of everything we do.

The Feeling of Warmth. Now Available Online.

By on February 12th, 2021

While the true origin of Valentine’s Day is not clear, we do know that sometime during the Middle Ages, the day became widely recognized as a celebration of love. In fact, the oldest known Valentine still in existence is a poem penned in 1415 by a French duke. Now, more than 600 years later, we continue to share warm fuzzies and heart-filled emojis every February.

This year may look different as we find creative ways to share the love, but we are thrilled to pass along heartfelt sentiments from our FLVS families and staff who recreate those feelings of warmth online!
